This high-quality Viking necklace in Oseberg style is braided from leather and features decorative animal heads as end pieces made of bronze. End caps for necklaces and bracelets designed with animal heads are known from various archaeological sites in the Viking realm and are not a modern invention. These Viking Age animal heads are replicas of the original find of an animal head post from the Oseberg ship burial in the Oslofjord, after which the Oseberg style, a Viking jewelry style, was named. However, it is still scientifically debated whether the animal head is a dragon head or a lion head. Both animal heads are connected by an omega hook, on which the amulet can be threaded, as long as it has an eyelet or ring. The Viking necklace made of leather and bronze in Oseberg style is therefore a suitable gift and accessory for every Viking fan and fits perfectly into everyday life, at the medieval market, or around the neck of a Nordic character at LARP.
