This replica of a Viking axe head Gotland is based on a find from the Swedish island of Gotland. The black lacquered axe head is made of robust steel, has a pre-sharpened edge and still needs to be hafted. In the middle of the axe head, a cross can be seen, a sign of the progressive Christianization among the Vikings.
