This replica of a Viking amulet was handcrafted and shows a griffin in the well-known early Jelling style. The original find, made of silver, comes from Vårby / Sweden and was dated to the late 9th century. The original Vårby amulet is now in the possession of the Statens Historiska Museet, Stockholm. An eyelet at the top, with a diameter of 3 mm, allows it to be worn with a leather strap or chain. The Viking griffin amulet in Jelling style is therefore the perfect accessory for Early Medieval reenactment!
