This Gotland Two-Handed Axe is a replica of a battle axe based on a find on the Swedish island of Gotland. The black lacquered axe head is made of robust steel and has a blunt edge that was attached to a wooden shaft with rivets. In the middle of the axe head, a cross can be seen, a sign of the progressive Christianization among the Vikings. The Gotland two-handed axe is not suitable for reenactment combat, but is ideal as a decoration for Viking fans and, of course, for Viking reenactment.
