This massive Viking Ring Valsgärde made of bronze depicts in detail the helmet of a wealthy and powerful Viking warrior from the Vendel Period, from the Early Middle Ages of the 5th to 8th century. A Viking helmet like this was found in Valsgärde and gave this unique bronze ring its name. The front side with the helmet is extraordinarily decorated, revealing many details. On the sides and also on the back are Viking Age band patterns, each ending in an early medieval dragon head.
