This early medieval Viking Decorative Rivet Birka in the Borre style is suitable for 3 cm straps and is based on a disc brooch found in Birka in Grave 967, now housed in the Swedish National Museum, Statens Historiska Museet in Stockholm. The decorative rivet features classic Viking Age animal faces in the Viking Age Borre style, and its uniqueness lies in the fact that this and very similar versions have been found in almost ten other locations in England, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, and Ireland, making it a very common motif. The Viking Decorative Rivet Birka in the Borre style is suitable not only for 3 cm straps but also as a fitting for leather bags, weapon holders, and other leather equipment for early medieval reenactment, Viking cosplay, and the medieval market.
