This forged Viking key made of iron is based on finds from the Early Middle Ages. Viking keys were an integral part of Viking women's clothing in the Early Middle Ages, as married women had "power" over the key, and therefore the Viking key was worn visibly on their clothing. However, not every Viking possessed elaborately decorated key examples; most were simple variants like this one made of iron. The iron Viking key is the perfect accessory for any Viking woman in Viking reenactment, but also suitable for the medieval market or LARP.
