This magnificent Viking belt was handmade and consists of a buckle in the shape of a Viking face, a leather strap, and a strap end depicting the Midgard Serpent. This makes this long belt a perfect addition to a stately garment for Viking reenactment or LARP.
In the Middle Ages, it was common to knot the leather around the buckle or ring and let the protruding end hang decoratively below the belt knot on the garment.
