This authentic Viking knife blade Haithabu, based on a Type 6 original from the famous Viking city of Hedeby (also known as Haithabu), is hand-forged and sharpened. The Viking Age Type 6 carbon steel knife blade, with its distinctive broken-back shape, was the most commonly used blade form there, and its blacksmith-blackened surface has been left to enhance its early medieval appearance. The tang is for attachment to a wooden or bone handle. The Viking knife blade Haithabu is ideal for DIY knife makers, craftsmen, and Viking reenactment.
