This Viking hair pin is a replica based on a find from the Early Middle Ages of the 10th century in Haithabu. The original of this pin is located in the Haithabu Museum in Schleswig-Holstein. Garment pins with animal heads made of silver and bronze like this one were widespread in the Viking Age and served as jewelry and closures for historical clothing and garments, and of course also as hairpins. Thus, this piece of jewelry is ideal for the medieval market and of course also LARP.
