Viking Pommel/End Piece in Mammen Style, Bronze, for DIY Knife Making
This Viking handle finial/end piece in Mammen style for oval handles is perfect for DIY knife making and was made from high-quality bronze and can also be silver-plated on request. This Viking Age handle finial shows two mirrored serpent creatures, like the Midgard Serpent, and are in the so-called Mammen style, a Viking Age ornamental style that was used between the 9th and 10th centuries of the Early Middle Ages.
On the back of the Viking handle finial there are two 1 mm thick pins, approx. 1.5 cm long, which you must embed in the knife handle so that the end piece securely connects to the handle. We also recommend using a two-component adhesive. A possible intermediate layer of leather, horn or fiber is then another nice optical gimmick. With this Viking handle finial/end piece in Mammen style, you have a perfect finish and eye-catcher for your individually handcrafted Viking knife.
