This Viking cap was made from sturdy cotton fabric with a woven herringbone pattern and the inside was lined with a soft, lightweight cotton fabric. Headwear was worn almost everywhere and by everyone in the Middle Ages, for protection from dirt and injuries or even as a status symbol.
However, Viking caps like these are more often associated with men and were also decorated with fur, among other things. Finds from Birka and Haithabu confirm the historical headwear and make them perfectly suitable for a Viking garment at the next medieval market, LARP and even an early medieval wedding.
Material: 100% cotton
Dimensions/circumference: approx.
M = 60cm
XL = 64cm
Care instructions: maximum delicate wash 30°C, not suitable for tumble drying
