Several finds of this replica of a Viking beard comb in Ringerike style made of bronze are known from eastern Sweden, England, and the Baltic States. The comb, along with the ear spoon and nail cleaner, was often part of the Viking woman's attire. These hung, attached by chains or ribbons, from the bowl brooches of the Viking attire and were thus always at hand. This Viking beard comb was made in the so-called Ringerike style, a Viking art style from the Early Middle Ages of the 11th century.
