This Viking Axe Amulet Gotland made of bronze is based on the discovery of a battle axe on the Swedish island of Gotland. Axe amulets were not only widespread among Vikings in the early Middle Ages, but were often found in the Baltic Sea and Baltic States region and thus suit the portrayal of many early medieval characters, including in LARP. An opening in the axe head, identical to real axes, at the point where the handle is inserted, allows the axe amulet to be worn with a leather strap or chain.
