This gilded Viking pendant symbolizes a key from the Viking Age. Keys like this were worn by Viking women 1000 years ago to show that they were responsible for the household and the land. This meant they had control over all locked items such as the home and chests with jewelry and money. It was Viking women, not their husbands, who had control over such things. The Viking pendant has a 1 micron thick layer of gold plated over pewter. The gilded Viking pendant key is therefore perfect for Viking reenactment as jewelry, for the medieval market, cosplay and everyday life, for LARP, or as a gift for the bride at a Viking vow/wedding.
