The Viking Amulet Völundr from Uppakra is an elaborate copy of an archaeological find in Uppakra/Sweden. Originally probably a fitting, this piece of jewelry was repurposed into an amulet. Detailed like the original, its ornamentation and depiction draw from the so-called Borre style, which perfectly matches the period of the find. On the back, there is an eyelet through which you can attach a chain or leather strap.
Völundr, also known as Wayland the Smith, is a demigod figure in Germanic mythology who found his way into Norse sagas, where he forged his own wings to perform legendary deeds. The Viking Age Amulet Völundr from Uppakra in Borre style is a wonderful gift and piece of jewelry for Viking fans and reenactors.
