Our pair of Nordic oval brooches Lagertha, often referred to as tortoise brooches, was made from robust bronze. Oval brooches were a decorative part of women's attire during the Viking Age. The decorations and size of such brooches, as well as the beads and necklaces, indicated status and wealth during the Viking Age.
