A square lantern with horn windows provides light in wind and weather. It was made of iron, and the windows of real horn were fitted and adapted with great effort. Almost all parts were hand-riveted, an S-hook serves to hang and secure the lantern. A candle can be placed inside through a small hinged door. This beautiful piece is a perfect accessory for a town or night watchman in the Middle Ages and for LARP.
