Our hauberk is a knee-length chainmail shirt that protects the entire upper body and was worn in the Middle Ages. This historically authentic cut was often extended with front or side slits for better leg room for the wearer. This allows these long chainmail shirts to be comfortably worn by riders on horseback. Our hauberk is not inherently slit so that these can be individually added by the customer if required.

The individual chain rings are made of robust spring steel and are connected in the classic 4-in-1 weave and are not riveted. This makes them a perfect blend of price-performance and quality-protection and are particularly well suited for beginners, LARP, and medieval reenactors. For fighters in Buhurt (full contact), free fighting, and HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) where protection is much more important, we recommend the riveted variants in our online shop.

To determine the size, we recommend putting on all undergarments that will later be worn under the chainmail (gambeson, padded doublet, etc.) and adding approx. 10 cm for mobility.
