Our hauberk is a knee-length chainmail shirt that protects almost the entire upper body and was worn in the Middle Ages. The hauberk was often extended with front or side slits for better freedom of movement for the wearer, allowing it to be worn comfortably by riders on horseback. The individual chain rings are flat, made of robust spring steel, and riveted in the classic 4-in-1 weave, alternating between a punched and a riveted ring, which benefits the price. This chainmail offers excellent protection and is particularly suitable for medieval reenactors who practice show combat, buhurt (full contact), free fighting, and HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts), where protection is especially important.
To determine the size, we recommend putting on all undergarments that will later be worn under the chainmail (gambeson, padded doublet, etc.) and adding approx. 10 cm for mobility.
Material: Spring steel
Ring inner diameter: approx. 8 mm
Ring width: 1.8 mm
