This wonderful replica of a so-called gold ducat dates from the Middle Ages of the 14th century, more precisely from the period 1346 - 1355, the reign of Emperor Charles IV, who was King of Bohemia and Italy. This replica, made of high-quality brass, was originally made of 18-carat gold and shows the coat of arms of the Bohemian ruling house, a lion, and on the reverse, the effigy of Charles IV. Thus, the gold ducat was both a symbol of power and a means of payment for Charles. This elaborately crafted replica of a medieval gold ducat, made of high-quality cast brass, is therefore a perfect accessory and gift for medieval fans, reenactors, but also LARP characters.
