Mortar made of serpentine

This mortar with the almost timeless "Flower of Life" decoration and pestle was handmade from soapstone. Mortars have always been tools for grinding flowers, woods, grasses, and making pastes of various kinds. The Flower of Life mortar with pestle made of soapstone is therefore wonderfully suited for depictions of the herbalist, healer, barber-surgeon, witch, alchemist, quack and similar characters in medieval reenactment, LARP, and is a wonderful decoration and gift for followers of the Wicca doctrine.
