Kievan Rus Leg Wrapping Hook Raven in Brass - Replica
This handmade replica of a pair of Kievan Rus leg wrap hooks was made from robust brass, based on a find in Eastern Europe. The original find was dated to the Early Middle Ages of the 9th century and depicts a raven, fitting perfectly for Early Medieval reenactment or Viking/Rus portrayal. The leg wrap hooks are fixed at the end of the leg wraps with needle and thread, and can then hook into the fabric using their hook. Leg wraps were widespread in the Early Middle Ages among Rus, Vikings, Slavs, Normans, and Anglo-Saxons, protecting against wind and weather as well as flora and fauna. The replica Kievan Rus leg wrap hooks are a perfect accessory and gift for the medieval market and LARP.
