This riveted mail coif made of high-quality spring steel with an authentic square facial opening was handcrafted in the widespread 4-in-1 weave, where riveted flat rings and punched flat rings are alternately connected. This type of weave is called FRM (Flatring Round rivets Mixed) and is the most affordable way to wear a riveted mail coif or chainmail shirt. Of course, the riveted spring steel mail coif offers excellent cut protection, covers the entire shoulder, and is fully suitable for combat reenactments! The untreated spring steel is not rustproof, making it ideal for beginners, LARP, combat reenactments, and active medieval reenactors who value good protection.
