This replica of a Celtic socketed axe head with a rectangular socket is based on a find from the La Tène period. The socketed axe was a traditional tool in the Iron Age for Celts, Romans, and Germanic peoples. It was hafted onto a curved wooden handle, a so-called knee shaft. The Celtic axe head of the La Tène period socketed axe is hand-forged and is perfect for ancient reenactment, cosplay, and the medieval market.
