This early medieval Celtic boar amulet made of bronze has, as the name suggests, the shape of a Celtic boar. Among the Celts, the boar was considered an expression of militant strength on the battlefield; the legendary Irish warrior Conan, for example, was compared to a boar. But the boar also had a special meaning for Germanic peoples, as evidenced by male names such as Eberhardt, Ebbo, or Eburhelm. This necklace is perfect for early medieval reenactment but also as a gift for Germanic and Celtic fans.
