This replica of a great great helm dates from the 14th century of the Middle Ages. Late medieval great helms were often worn over a smaller, lighter helmet or a chainmail coif and were widespread and popular in various variations throughout Europe since the Crusades of the 13th century, making them perfect for reenactment. This replica was handmade from 1.6 mm steel and authentically connected with steel rivets. The front was decorated with brass appliqués common in the late Middle Ages. The cutouts below the eye slits provide the necessary air circulation, the inside of the great helm is blackened, and it has an adjustable leather inlay with leather straps and a brass buckle as a clasp. The Great Helm from the 14th century is ideal for knights and medieval reenactment and a special decoration and gift for knight fans!
