This large Gotland jewelry bead made of bronze is a replica of a find in Hellvi, Gotland. The original, made of gold, was crafted using elaborate Viking-age granulation techniques, where tiny spheres and/or the finest wires were painstakingly soldered onto the jewelry bead. This replica is made of bronze and was cast in one piece, but it still showcases the high craftsmanship of the Vikings on Gotland.
