Forged Viking Birka Key from Steel - Replica

This forged Viking key made of steel is based on a find from Birka in Sweden. Such keys were an integral part of Viking women's clothing in the Early Middle Ages, as married women held "power" over the key and therefore wore it visibly on their attire. However, not every Viking owned elaborately decorated keys; most were simple versions like this steel replica.
