This Germanic throwing spearhead for a framea was handcrafted from steel and polished. The socket was cleanly forged and has a hole with two openings for DIY fastening to a wooden shaft. This reconstruction of a Germanic framea is based on finds from the 1st to approx. 5th century of Late Antiquity in southern Germanic regions and differs significantly from the Ger, which began to gain acceptance from the 6th century of the Early Middle Ages. Due to its design, the framea could be used both as a projectile and for fighting in close combat. The Germanic throwing spearhead for a framea is ideal for historical representation, Late Antiquity reenactment, and cosplay.
