Early Medieval Thorsberg Trousers by Burgschneider
The Early Medieval Thorsberg Trousers by Burgschneider were handcrafted from uncombed and robust cotton, also known as canvas. As was customary in the early Middle Ages, they have no pockets, but belt loops to carry belongings with a belt and leather pouches. They owe their name to the discovery of such trousers in the Thorsberg bog, which probably dates from the 4th century.
Can one wear such trousers as a Viking?
These early medieval trousers are an excellent part of a costume for Vikings and Germans. Even though the find dates back to late antiquity, discoveries from the Viking Age in Hedeby showed very similar models. These trousers are therefore suitable for Early Medieval reenactment from late antiquity to the Middle Ages, but also as robust trousers for craftsmen or performers at the next medieval market or LARP event. In the colours brown, black, and natural, there is also enough choice to combine them with a matching tunic.
These Thorsberg trousers are a product from the German company Burgschneider!
