Early Medieval Vendel Bronze Pommel/End Piece for DIY Knife Making
This oval Early Medieval Vendel pommel cap is perfect for DIY knife making of a seax or utility knife and was made from high-quality bronze, which can also be silver-plated upon request. This Vendel Age pommel cap depicts two mirrored snake creatures, based on a brooch find from the Vendel period, the lesser-known era before the Viking Age. On the back of the Early Medieval pommel cap are two 1 mm thick pins, approximately 1.5 cm long, which you must embed into the knife handle so that the end piece securely connects to the handle. For this, we also recommend using a two-component adhesive. A possible intermediate layer of leather, horn, or fiber is another nice visual gimmick. With this Early Medieval Vendel pommel cap, you have a perfect finish and eye-catcher for your individual, self-made early medieval utility knife or seax.
