This openwork Early Medieval Brooch is based on a find from the Vendel Period and was handcrafted from robust bronze. Dating from the early 7th century of the Early Middle Ages, the oval-shaped brooch shows two intertwined snakes, a typical motif of this time as evidenced by an S-shaped Frankish brooch, other similar finds even go back to the Iron Age. Snakes and other ribbon-like animals are known from various sites from the Vendel Period and make this Early Medieval brooch a perfect piece of jewelry for Early Medieval Reenactment, LARP, and also a gift for fans. The original of this snake brooch is now in the possession of an English museum.
