This early medieval amulet made of bronze is a replica of the Hiddensee cross pendant. The so-called Hiddensee cross comes from the famous Hiddensee gold hoard and was probably made in Jutland in the 10th century. This Viking Age piece of jewelry combines pagan symbolism with the Christian influences that were spreading at the time. The original is now in the Stralsund Cultural History Museum. A 3.5 mm side opening in the head allows it to be worn with a leather strap or chain. This jewelry is perfect for Vikings and Early Middle Ages enthusiasts.
