Denar of Vladislav Henry - Replica
The Denar of Vladislav Heinrich is a replica of an exotic coin from the Middle Ages of the 12th - 13th century, minted in Moravia. Our coin was reproduced with hand-engraved dies, as in the Middle Ages. In its original form, it is a silver denar that is absolutely unique for Bohemian conditions and reflects the influences of distant lands. Vladislav Heinrich, Margrave of Moravia, was the younger brother of King Přemysl Ottokar I and thus one of the significant figures of his time.
The obverse shows the motif of a palm tree, flanked by two lions, symbolizing power, exoticism, and the connection to the Crusades taking place in distant lands. The reverse bears the symbol of a six-pointed star, in the center of which the Moravian eagle is placed.
The replica of the Denar of Vladislav Heinrich is perfect as currency for cosplay, as a prop for reenactment, as historical decoration, and as a collector's item for medieval fans.
