This replica of a medieval axe holder was made from a hand-forged ring and riveted with a loop of robust cowhide leather, allowing the holder to be worn on a belt. For aesthetic reasons, forging residues and hammer marks were left on the steel ring, which do not impair its function. This weapon holder is as simple as it is ingenious; the wooden handle is pushed through the ring, and gravity does the rest, or rather, holds the weapon in place, while the weapon's head prevents it from slipping through completely. Alternatively, something can be tied to or hooked onto the ring. This weapon holder is suitable for blunt weapons such as a morning star, axe, war hammer, or even tools.
