This Thor's Hammer replica, made of the finest silver, is probably the most famous forgery case of a Viking Thor's hammer from England. The "original" was sold to the British National Museum in the 90s as a sensational find, allegedly near Carlisle/England. According to current knowledge, the purity of the silver, the headpiece, the too precise impressions of the stamp on the hammer, and the use of a triangular stamp with six dots argue against it being a genuine find from the Viking Age. Nevertheless, this variant of a Thor's hammer is a real piece of jewelry and is suitable for everyday wear, medieval markets, or LARP.
