This early medieval Viking protective amulet, also known as a Lunula amulet, is a handmade replica made of bronze and part of a Slavic neck ornament. Its find spot is in the area of Kievan Rus' and was dated to the Viking Age in the 9th-10th century, but such pendants have also been found repeatedly in Great Moravia and the Baltic Sea region. Its origin is Slavic, spreading throughout early medieval Northern Europe. Jewelry and amulets like this were widespread among the Slavs, Rus', and Vikings and served as protective amulets for girls and women. This neck ornament is suitable for early medieval reenactment as well as LARP.
