This medieval scale armor is a replica of early medieval lamellar armor, likely worn by some Vikings, Rus, Byzantines, and Eastern Nomads. The armor was handcrafted from over 400 scales, whose shape is based on finds from Birka and Visby, and is therefore also suitable for reenactors. The individual plates were laced together with thick leather straps. A gambeson should definitely be worn under the lamellar armor, as such armors primarily offer protection against cuts.
This armor is perfectly suited for early medieval reenactors, medieval market show fights, and of course, LARP.
