This elaborately designed Viking ring made of fine silver not only looks like it came straight out of the Early Middle Ages. Supported by archaeological finds, the design is early medieval, and the find location, Valsgärde, gives its name to this unique Viking Age silver ring from the Vendel Period.
The front side with the helmet is exceptionally adorned, allowing many details to be seen. On the sides and also on the back are Viking Age knotwork patterns, each ending in an early medieval dragon head.
