This Viking polyhedron fibula, made of robust bronze, is suitable as an accessory and fastener for many Viking-era garments. Polyhedron fibulae are so named after the polygonal, beveled ends and were so widespread between the 9th and 10th centuries of the Early Middle Ages, primarily in the Baltic Sea region, that 40% of all finds show this form.
