This blue Viking glass bead has a white/red thread pattern and is based on finds in Hedeby. Hedeby is the Danish/Swedish name for the Viking metropolis Haithabu in Northern Germany. The Hedeby Viking glass bead was handmade as a unique piece and has a flattened spherical shape. Combined with other glass beads or amulets, you can create your own individual and personal Viking jewelry.
