Axes in the Early Middle Ages, such as our hand-forged Viking bearded axe made of steel with an ash wood handle, were used for felling trees, building ships, houses, and furniture, or in combat, making them a central and versatile tool for the Vikings. This bearded axe is made of hand-forged carbon steel and can therefore be used for reenactment combat or as a working axe depending on the modifications. Historically, this type of bearded axe was limited to Scandinavia, as evidenced by finds exclusively in Trøndelag and Nordland in Norway and Gotland in Sweden. This hand-forged Viking bearded axe made of steel with an ash wood handle is a wonderful decoration for weapon collectors and Viking fans, but is also suitable as a prop for Early Medieval reenactment.
