The Viking Amulet Snake from Gørding has been meticulously replicated from high-quality bronze and depicts a snake. The original dates from the Early Middle Ages, 10th century, and was probably made at the court of Gorm, the father of Harald Bluetooth, in Jelling. It was only discovered in 2019 near Gørding in Denmark. It was made of pure gold using the elaborate Viking Age granulation technique. Many finds of snake amulets similar to this one are known throughout Scandinavia from the Viking Age, and it is presumed that they are associated with fertility or the god Odin. The Viking Amulet Snake Gørding made of bronze is therefore perfect for Early Medieval Reenactment, but also suitable for Cosplay, everyday wear, as a gift for Viking fans, and for medieval markets.
