This Viking amulet is a replica of a Mjölnir, the hammer of Thor, the thunder god of the Vikings. Like the original, which was found on the Danish island of Lolland in 2014 and can now be admired in the Danish National Museum in Copenhagen, this Mjölnir has runes as decorations. In fact, this Thor's hammer is the first ever found with a runic inscription! The runes on the Mjölnir read "HMAR IS", which can be roughly translated from Old Norse as "This is a hammer". This replica made of robust bronze is therefore a perfect Viking piece of jewellery for reenactors and Viking fans.
