These Slavic garment hooks Birka were handcrafted from robust bronze and are based on a find of several amulets from grave BJ 943 in the Viking trading city of Birka in Sweden. The original find was dated to the 10th century and made using the elaborate granulation technique. Visually, it is based on Slavic jewelry that has also been found elsewhere in the Baltic Sea region. With needle and thread, it can be easily attached to your garment with the all-round holes and is perfect as a fastener for tunics and early medieval dresses due to its light weight. The Slavic garment hook Birka made of bronze is suitable for early medieval reenactment, the medieval market and, of course, LARP.
