This special notebook is protected by a leather cover featuring a distinctive cross, also known as a trefoil cross, with ornamental borders on its front. A leather strap serves as a clasp, and the handmade paper is bound in a crosswise fashion, as was common in the Middle Ages, and can be replaced if needed. As this notebook with cross and leather cover is handmade, minor variations may occur.
