This classic and extremely robust Medieval Mace with a leather handle features a rectangular forged shaft with a spherical head, characteristic of the 16th century. The stitched leather handle with an attached wrist strap prevented the loss of this bludgeon on the medieval battlefield.
From the 11th century onwards, the mace, originally from the Orient, spread throughout Central Europe and was used by cavalry and infantry in many variations. A mace is a simple but incredibly effective weapon that, with pure force and without great skill, damages or even destroys armor; blows to unprotected areas break bones and worse.
This mace is primarily for decoration and is therefore perfect for fans of the Middle Ages, reenactors, but also as a gift for fans of the historical genre.
