This small medieval cross was handcrafted from the finest silver and decorated with genuine mother-of-pearl. The center of the cross and the top bail for a chain or leather strap were additionally adorned with small marcasite stones, making this sacred piece of jewelry something unique. Crosses like this were worn in the Middle Ages by the clergy, meaning the clerics, though more likely by the higher ranks, but also by the nobility.
