This round medieval buckler with fittings for show combat is also called a fist shield. It was made of robust armor steel and reinforced with four fittings. A leather-wrapped handle is riveted to the back. Bucklers were very popular from the High Middle Ages into the Renaissance. They could be used for defense as well as offense and are perfect for medieval reenactment and show combat.
